Full Time
The Wausau School District is seeking a Nutrition Services Supervisor to support our mission to advance student learning, achievement, success by assisting the Director of School Nutrition Services with the coordination and oversight of the District’s Child Nutrition Programs, and nutrition and wellness initiatives.
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Hotel Restaurant Management, or related field. Must participate in summer D.P.I. continuing education opportunities.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required: 3 years of supervisory experience in food service management, preferably School Food Service. Working knowledge/skills with computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience or knowledge of:
* Quantity food production and service
* Food handling safety and sanitation standards, HACCP
* Institutional menus development
* Staff supervision, selection, and hiring
* Child nutrition programs
* Ability to efficiently use technology systems/programs
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
* Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other staff at all levels and all areas of the District
* Skills and knowledge to assist the Director of School Nutrition Services in the support of the school nutrition service programs
* Ability to supervise, evaluate, and train the Nutrition Services staff
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple task/projects simultaneously
