The Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton Elementary School is seeking quality applicants for a 1-year (entire 2026-2027 school year) 2nd Grade teaching position. Our 2nd grade teaching team consists of this posted position and two other full-time 2nd grade classroom teachers. Candidates should have a love of teaching children, have great communication skills, and a positive attitude each day. Ideal candidates should also have strengths in reading/language arts, math, science, social studies, and technology instruction. Ideal candidates should have knowledge and understanding of the teaching and learning standards in math, reading, science, and social studies. Candidates must work collaboratively with colleagues at grade level, along with lateral grade level teachers, special education teachers, Title I staff, EL staff and all district employees. Other qualities desired are:

5. Understanding of the Professional Learning Community (PLC) framework
6. Positive and Energetic classroom teaching style

The Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton School District is located in a the beautiful driftless region of Southwest Wisconsin and is located between our three communities that make up our school district. Our total school population is approximately 600+ students (PreK-12th grade) and 115 staff members. All PreK-12th grade students are housed in one school building, which is a great teaching and learning environment. Our community is very supportive of the school district and we recently completed some wonderful renovations to the school faciliites.
