Pre-Kindergarten Aide Position Summary
The Pre-Kindergarten Aide is responsible for assisting and supporting the classroom, teacher, and students throughout the school day. We have a morning session and an afternoon session of our PreKindergarten classrooms.
Key responsibilities include:

Supporting small and large groups of students. Pulling out small groups and pushing in to support large group instruction

Supporting the classroom teacher in curriculum areas

Clearly and consistently communicating and upholding school rules, values, and expectations in and out of the classroom
-
Setting a caring, respectful, and positive tone in the classroom

Displaying time management skills to maximize student learning
-
Building relationships with students that communicate the importance of academic, social, and behavioral success at school
-
Taking on responsibilities outside of their content area instruction such as Core Virtue, lunch and recess duties, and various school committees, as needed.

Supporting a multitude of instructional strategies

Constantly working to respond to students’ needs
General Information
This position is for the 2026-27 school year and will start in August.
Aide Competencies and Qualifications
The successful candidate will also have:

High School diploma (or equivalency) or beyond
-
Ability to maintain positive relationships with young children, school staff, and parents
-
Positive student management abilities
-
A strong belief that all students can learn and succeed in the school
-
A do-whatever-it takes attitude
-
An exceptional ability to respond well to feedback and implement it immediately
-
Direct Instruction training will be provided before the school year
