Randall is looking for a special education instructional aide to empower excellence through a focus on relationships and learning. Responsibilities/Duties/Abilities:
1. Support special education students based on the needs outlined in the students IEP.
2. Work with student groups and/or individually within their learning style.
3. Reinforcing the lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts.
4. Supervise students to and from class, during breakfast, lunch, recess, bus loading and in emergency situations.
5. Assist with feeding/attendant care needs of students as necessary.
6. Assist teachers with behavioral objectives using de-escalation techniques.
7. Ability to reach, stoop/kneel, crouch/crawl, push/pull, carry/lift, stand and walk constantly.
8. Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
9. Ability to work well with students, staff and public.
10. A positive role model to students.
11. Ability to get along and communicate well with students, staff and parents.
12. Must be able to successfully complete training as provided (including CPI).
13. Ability to use computer equipment and other technology.
14. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
13. Other duties assigned by Administration.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification: State of WI, Special Education certification is required (or willing to become certified)for this position.
- Red Cross First Aid/CPR certified (or willing to become certified).
