Reports to: Activities Director

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize activities

  • Provide training direction, encouragement, and motivation in order to prepare participant for events.

  • Identify and recruit potential participants.

  • Plan strategies and choose members for events.

  • Plan and direct programs that will enable participants to achieve maximum performance.

  • Adjust events, based on the strengths and weaknesses of participants.

  • Keep records of events.

  • Instruct individuals or groups in strategies, and principles.

  • Evaluate participants’ skills and review options for other events.

  • Keep abreast of changing, techniques, technologies, and philosophies relevant to their activity.

  • Monitor participants use of equipment, including explaining and demonstrating the use of equipment to ensure safe and proper use.

  • Develop and arrange schedules and programs.

  • Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations.

  • Serve as organizer, leader, and instructor.

  • Perform activities that support the individual or group of a specific activity, such as meeting with media representatives and appearing at fundraising events.

  • Arrange and conduct activities, such as camps, skill-improvement courses, clinics, and in needed try-outs.

  • Select, acquire, store, and issue equipment and other materials as necessary.
