The School District of Janesville is accepting applications for a Custodian II position at Van Buren Elementary School.
Interested and qualified candidates should include a letter of interest, resume, and two (2) letters of recommendation when applying.
This is a full-time, year-round, position working 8.0 hours per day; 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm, beginning October 12, 2026.
This position participates in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS).
Insurance benefits are available with this position.

1. Two years of custodial experience in a school environment.
2. Advanced knowledge of basic custodial equipment and supplies.
3. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all district employee groups.
4. Familiar with all aspects of custodial operations and of basic maintenance procedures.
5. Knowledge of boiler and heat system maintenance.
6. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the district may find appropriate and acceptable.
Previous custodial experience is preferred.
