Abrams Elementary School is seeking a long-term Fifth Grade Classroom substitute teacher.  A current Wisconsin Teacher License with a certification in English (1300) is preferred for this position.
 
The assignment is scheduled to start December 1 through January 14, 2027.
 
Qualifications:
Should be knowledgeable/experienced in the following areas:

  • Building & maintaining strong relationships with students, parents, & staff;

  • Using technology to engage students in learning;

  • Must possess a positive attitude and sense of humor;

  • Commitment to high expectations for student achievement;

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective written and verbal communication

 
Expectations:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality instruction based on established lesson plans

  • Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom culture that fosters a love for learning

  • Collaborate daily with grade-level teams and support staff to ensure student success

  • Assess student progress

  • Complete Trimester 1 report cards

  • Maintain open, friendly communication with families

  • Attend Parent/Teacher Conferences – October 22 and 27 in the evening

  • Participate in Professional Development Day activities

  • Attend Staff Meetings
