Full Time
The Food Service Director is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of school food service for the Potosi School District. This may include program planning, administration, implementation, evaluation, and monitoring. Duties of the Food Service Director include sanitation, food safety, nutrition and menu planning, food production, facility layout and design, procurement, financial management, recordkeeping, program accountability, marketing, customer service, and personnel management.
 
This position is full time if the chosen candidate is interested in helping with the day-to-day preparation and service of student meals.  Director responsibilities would constitute "part time" employment

To qualify for the position, candidates must meet one of the following educational and experience requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational experience in one of the following areas: food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field; OR a Bachelor’s degree in any field paired with a State-recognized certificate for school nutrition directors;

  2. Bachelor’s degree in any major along with the DPI School Nutrition GOALS Certificate or at least one year of relevant food service experience.

  3. Associate's degree or equivalent educational experience in one specified area (food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field), along with at least one year of relevant food service experience.

  4. High school diploma (or GED) accompanied by three years of relevant food service experience.
