The Green Bay Area Public School District is seeking a 12-month Director of School Leadership (Secondary) who would work collaboratively to support principals as effective instructional leaders. The primary work of the Director includes but is not limited to onboarding, development, support and monitoring of principals as they lead the implementation of our instructional vision across all classrooms within a multi-level system of support.
Qualifications Required:
Education: Master's Degree or Specialist Certificate in Educational Administration or related field; Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Administrative License - K-12 Principal; Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Administrative License - Director of Instruction; Wisconsin Department of Public Insturction Administrative License - Superintendent (willingness to pursue upon hire and obtain within 2 years)
Certification: Valid Wisconsin Principal License or ability to be licensed within first year
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of successful building level leadership experience or its approved equivalency; Knowledge of current trends in standards, curriculum development, administrative leadership, instructional practices, assessment and related professional learning; Training and experience in models of supervision and evaluation; Experience or training in executive coaching.
Reports To: Associate Superintendent of Continuous School Improvement
Supervises: Principals, District Staff, Clerical Staff

5. Works in partnership with others to lead and support collaborative cultures throughout the district through the coaching, training, leadership development, supervision and evaluation of principals.
6. Provides necessary support and leadership for the identification and elimination of achievement gaps ultimately leading to improved student outcomes for all.
7. Assists in instructional program implementation and evaluation in assigned areas.
8. Assists in the district staffing process.
9. Assists in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and administrative rules in assigned areas.
10. Cooperates in providing input into an accurate projection, preparation and implementation of school budgets.
11. Provides follow-up on Department of Public Instruction (DPI) initiatives and directives.
12. Provides input to the Board of Education, as requested by the Associate Superintendent of Continuous Improvement and/or Superintendent of Schools and Learning.
13. Works closely with other departments in cross-functional teams to transform and improve instruction and instructional programs.
14. Assists in the development of short and long-range goals and time lines to manage instruction and student support for achievement outcomes.
15. Monitors disaggregated school achievement data, creates reports, and makes recommendations for continuous improvement.
16. Monitors the implementation of instructional leadership and instructional delivery closely and provides instructional guidance and feedback to teachers and principals continuously.
17. Works collaboratively with the Teaching and Learning Department to assist in the development of coaches, leaders and other instructional staff who support teaching and learning in schools.
18. Works cross-functionally on teams to set data targets and models data analysis and support for school administrators to build their own data literacy.
19. Working in collaboration with human resources and facilities, assists principals in the development of a consistent and coherent program of study, master schedule, staffing and facility use to achieve desired outcomes of schools.
20. Assists school principals in the development of annual budgets; determining the feasibility of proposed projects, and ensures sound fiscal management of all programs and projects.
21. Assists in the management of relationships with community partners to advance programs at the assigned level.
22. Communicates the vision of student learning to all schools.
23. Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
