Position Details

$27.99-$29.06 per hour
Morning, Mid Day, and Afternoon Routes Available, Approximately 3-4 hours/day
Part Time
Pick up and discharge authorized students only at authorized stops. Observe all mandatory safety regulations for school busses and traffic laws. Maintain discipline of students and report any student discipline issues to supervisor. Adhere to the assigned time schedules. Attend safety meetings to keep up with current laws. Report all accidents, bus defects, and any hazardous road conditions to the transportation supervisor. Maintain a clean bus inside and out. Must follow District rules, procedures, and policies.
Person hired must possess a valid Wisconsin School Bus Commercial Driver's license (C.D.L. with S&P endorsements). Ten years of regular driving experience preferred. A responsible driving record is required. Ability to maintain student discipline, as defined by District Policy, while on the bus. Interpersonal skills to deal courteously, cooperatively and effectively with students, teachers, administrators, co-workers and the public. High School graduate preferred.
COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE: Wage will be in compliance with the employee handbook for the route assigned. The approximate schedule varies by route. Monday – Friday, approximately 6:00am-8:00am and 2:15pm-4:15pm when school is in session. Mid-day routes run from approximately 10:45am-12:30pm. A School Bus Driver’s schedule may change due to weather and other special circumstances, which will require flexibility on behalf of the driver.
