Are you looking for an opportunity to join a school community that believes ALL students can succeed, and backs that belief with strong systems, collaboration, and heart? At Eagle River Elementary School (ERES), we are committed to ensuring high levels of learning for all through meaningful relationships, data-driven practices, and a shared responsibility for student success.

ERES is seeking a passionate, collaborative, and student-centered 1st Grade Teacher to join our incredible team. Our staff works within a highly functioning Professional Learning Community (PLC) model, grounded in our Northland Pines School District High Quality Instructional Framework. Teachers collaborate regularly to design instruction aligned to Promise Standards and Essential Learning Targets (ELTs) while using data to drive decisions and ensure all students grow.

At ERES, relationships are at the core of everything we do. Through Responsive Classroom practices and Purposeful People/Character Strong, we intentionally build a positive, inclusive environment where students feel a strong sense of belonging and are empowered to reach their full potential. Our commitment to a Multi-Level System of Supports (MLSS) ensures that every student receives the academic and behavioral support they need through strong universal instruction and targeted, collaborative intervention systems.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong foundation in the Science of Reading, including evidence-based literacy instruction, and be committed to implementing structured, research-aligned practices within a collaborative team setting. A solid understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is also important. The candidate should be skilled in using assessment data to drive literacy instruction and differentiation, and show a commitment to continuous improvement and ongoing professional learning.

Beyond the classroom, Eagle River offers a unique opportunity to live and work in a supportive Northwoods community that values education.
