Position Details
Parkview School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant/Para Professional to work with Jr./Sr. High School students (grades 6-12). Prefer, but not required, candidates with an Associate degree and experience working with middle/high school age children with disabilities.
This is a 9-month (school year) position. The work hours will be between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. (Not to exceed 32 hours per week).
Interested and qualified candidates should include a Letter of Interest, Résumé and (2) Letters of Recommendation.
Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required
Ability to work independently
Basic computer skills
Organizational skills
Knowledge of basic grammar and writing mechanics
Knowledge of basic mathematics concepts and operations
Ability to work with students and staff in a friendly and constructive manner
Ability to supervise students in the classroom, lunchroom, and playground environments.
Ability to problem solve
