HIGH SCHOOL/MIDDLE SCHOOL TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION TEACHER

SUMMARY
The Prescott School District seeks only individuals of the highest caliber whose creativity, enthusiasm and energy are contagious. A background with a combination of some of the following subject areas is beneficial:
- Small-engines/recreational power
- Construction/woodworking
- Metals/welding
- AutoCAD Inventor/Revit/Solidworks
- Fab Lab or a combination of the previous skills is preferred.
This is a full-time renewing position. Requisites include a good work ethic and the most positive of attitudes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Regular Technology Education teaching certification (1220) is desired, but non-certified applicants are welcome to apply. The District is prepared to assist a quality individual in attaining the proper certification through an alternative pathway to licensure. Successful candidate will have:
- The ability to create course offerings that prepare students for high skill careers through addressing workforce development needs and building employability skills.
- A passion for Career and Technical Education including current knowledge and experience in initiatives and a desire to continuously strengthen and grow a program.
- The ability to build community and business partnerships through collaborative classroom instruction and activities.
- Strong technology skills and the ability to teach through real-world application of technology.
- A background in the use of assessments to guide instruction and progress monitor student learning.
- A student-centered learning environment with the ability to adapt lessons based on student needs.
- Experience or willingness to work within collaborative structures at the department, building and district levels.
- Strong communication skills with parents, students, administration, and co-workers.
