Mineral Point Elementary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Teacher to join our exceptional team of educators. The ideal candidate will inspire a love for learning, promote foundational problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and foster an engaging, inclusive environment for our youngest Pointers. Key Responsibilities

• Instructional Design: Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with state standards in core subject areas (Literacy, Math, Science, and Social Studies).

• Foundational Learning: Deliver content in a clear, accessible way that sparks curiosity and builds a strong educational foundation.

• Diverse Strategies: Utilize a variety of instructional methods—including hands-on learning, play-based exploration, and technology integration—to support diverse learners.

• Classroom Culture: Foster a nurturing environment that promotes kindness, perseverance, and a growth mindset.

• Relationship Building: Develop supportive connections with students and maintain open, collaborative communication with parents and guardians.

• Collaboration: Work closely with grade-level teams and specialists to create a cohesive learning experience for all students.

• Assessment & Feedback: Use formative and summative assessments to monitor growth, inform small-group instruction, and provide encouraging feedback.

• Differentiation: Adapt instruction to meet the unique social, emotional, and academic needs of every child, providing both extra support and enrichment.

• Professional Growth: Actively participate in professional development and contribute to our innovative elementary professional learning community.

Qualifications

• Certification: Valid Wisconsin Teaching License for the appropriate elementary grade levels.

• Content Knowledge: Strong understanding of early childhood/elementary development and best practices in foundational literacy and numeracy.

• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families.

• Classroom Management: Demonstrated ability to create a structured, respectful, and joyful learning environment.

• Passion: A genuine desire to help children develop confidence, competence, and a lifelong love for school.
