Position Details
The School District of River Falls is seeking a Registered Nurse who is highly organized, has a passion for pediatric care, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse students, families, and staff. The start date is May 18, 2026, or as soon as possible after that.
Main responsibilities include supporting, training, and supervising building-level health aides, providing skilled nursing care for the daily health needs of students, assessing medical emergencies, administering emergency first aid, medications, and injections, maintaining student health records and District health office data. The District Nurse will also collaborate with parents and doctors to write individual student health plans.
Required qualifications include a four year degree in nursing, Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction School Nurse license, and experience working with children. Strong human relations and communication skills, strong computer skills, ability to take initiative, work independently, and manage diverse personalities, ability to work on multiple projects at the same time and meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality.
1600 annual work hours (200 days), July 1-June 30; pay is negotiable based on experience. An excellent benefits package based on full-time employment is co-paid by the employee and school district. No weekends, holidays, overnights, and reduced hours in the summer!
