Position Details
The Antigo School District is seeking an innovative and student-centered Agriculture / Career & Technical Education (CTE) Teacher for grades 6–8 beginning in the 2026–2027 school year. This position offers a unique opportunity to help build and lead a growing middle school CTE program focused on career exploration, hands-on learning, and real-world skill development.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging, project-based instruction across multiple CTE areas, with an emphasis on agriculture, leadership, communication, and employability skills. Students will explore a variety of career pathways and progressively build skills that prepare them for high school and future careers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Teaching exploratory CTE courses in a rotating model (quarter/semester-based)
- Integrating academic skills (math, science, literacy, technology) into hands-on learning
- Promoting safe practices in lab/shop and digital environments
- Supporting career exploration and student leadership development
- Collaborating with staff, community partners, and other school programs
The position also includes the opportunity to support and grow student leadership through FFA (intra-curricular, with membership available to all agriculture students) and SkillsUSA (extracurricular, in collaboration with high school programming).
Qualifications: Valid Wisconsin teaching license in Agricultural Education, Technology Education, or related CTE field (or ability to obtain).
