Parkview Jr./Sr. High School is seeking a passionate, student-centered Spanish Teacher who is excited to grow and develop a dynamic world language program. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop proficiency in Spanish while fostering cultural awareness and global perspectives.
Courses will include Spanish 7, Spanish 8, and high school courses Spanish 1–4, with opportunities to expand offerings based on student interest and program development. The successful candidate will play a key role in building enrollment, strengthening the 7–12 Spanish pathway, and creating meaningful, engaging language-learning experiences.
This position will also support our English Language Learner (ELL) program, working collaboratively to meet the needs of multilingual learners and help ensure their academic success.

Key Responsibilities
Curriculum & Instruction
- Develop and deliver standards-based Spanish curriculum focused on communication, culture, and real-world application.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to support language acquisition, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs.
- Assess and monitor student progress using a variety of formative and summative tools.
Program Growth & Student Engagement
- Actively promote and grow the Spanish program by increasing student interest and enrollment.
- Create engaging, culturally rich learning experiences that connect language to real-world contexts.
- Explore opportunities to expand course offerings, including advanced coursework or dual credit.
- Support and/or develop extracurricular opportunities such as Spanish Club, cultural events, or travel experiences.
Collaboration & School Involvement
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate global perspectives across content areas.
- Partner with families and the community to highlight the importance of multilingualism.
- Participate in school initiatives and contribute to a positive school culture.
Professional Growth
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to world language instruction and best practices.
- Stay current with trends in language acquisition and instructional technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, World Language Education, or related field.
- Valid Wisconsin DPI Certification in Spanish (World Language) required.
- Strong understanding of language acquisition strategies and proficiency-based instruction.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to building and sustaining a strong world language program.
