Kewaskum School District is seeking a dedicated and strategic Director of Pupil Services to lead our comprehensive student support programs. Reporting to the Assistant Superintendent of Student Learning and Services, this pivotal leadership role is responsible for the vision, oversight, and evaluation of the district’s special education and pupil services departments.
 
The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader who ensures every student has the resources and support necessary to thrive. They will lead a multidisciplinary team, including special education teachers, school psychologists, family liaisons, and related service providers, to foster an inclusive environment that prioritizes both academic growth and well-being. In partnership with building principals, they will co-supervise site-based staff to ensure a high-quality, consistent delivery of services across the district.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Lead the special education, 504, transition plans, and Kewaskum Way programming and staffing for the district
  • Monitor and manages the early childhood program
  • Coordinate and monitor students services including counseling services, speech/language, psychological, occupational therapy, physical therapy, homelessness, nursing, educational interpreters, deaf and hard of hearing, vision, and audiology
  • Evaluate staff utilizing the Educator Effectiveness Model
  • Budget and manage the IDEA flow-through grant and special education budgets
  • Implement the special education service delivery model
