Position Summary:

Glendale-River Hills School District is seeking a bold, visionary Elementary School Counselor who functions as a high-level disruptor of the status quo. We aren’t looking for a traditional office-based counselor; we need a proactive advocate ready to dismantle barriers to student success.

You will be a key architect of our Equitable Multi-Level System of Supports (EMLSS) and our Section 504 lead, ensuring that every student—regardless of background or ability—receives the academic, social, and emotional support they need to thrive in a vibrant, diverse elementary setting

About the Glendale-River Hills School District:

The Glendale-River Hills School District (GDRH) is a diverse, public school district serving students from the Glendale and River Hills community. Our two-school district includes Parkway Elementary (K-3rd Grade) and Glen Hills Middle School (4th-8th Grade). Grounded in our vision “A community that pursues equity, where each person belongs and thrives” we are seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and equity-driven School  to support student development and school-wide positive behavior initiatives at Parkway Elementary.

Our Commitment:

As a district, we are dedicated to creating inclusive learning environments where all students are supported and challenged to reach their fullest potential. Staff at GDRH are committed to breaking down systemic barriers and creating learning spaces where students of all identities feel a sense of belonging.

Candidates should be willing to:

  • Regularly reflect and engage in critical conversations and their positionality

  • Actively work to remove barriers by engaging in anti-racist/biased instructional practices

  • Collaborate within a professional learning community to foster student growth
