The Tiger Den Director plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our childcare program, overseeing the development and implementation of enriching programs aimed at nurturing the physical, emotional, and educational growth of children. This leadership position requires the understanding of early childhood education principles, along with the capacity to cultivate a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for both children and their families. The Tiger Den Director will be responsible for managing staff, and fostering communication between educators and parents to build strong community relationships. The Tiger Den Director will also be expected to set goals for childcare, ensuring that high standards of care and education are met. The Tiger Den runs year round including 4K wraparound care, before and after school care, and summer care. The hours are 6:30-5:30 daily. The Tiger Den is closed on school breaks, and winter weather closings. It will remain open on professional development days. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, a passion for early childhood development, and a commitment to creating a positive and stimulating environment that encourages learning and growth for all children and their families. The Tiger Den Director will serve as a point of contact for staff and parents while working collaboratively to drive the success of the daycare and ensure it remains a trusted resource within the community. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the daycare center at Northview Elementary School Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and allow for free play time with supervision Recruit, train, and supervise staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment Establish and maintain effective communication channels with parents and staff Ensure the safety and health of children by implementing policies and procedures that are required within a school setting. Use Brightwheel as the means to process weekly billing, take attendance, and communicate with families.
High school diploma
Acceptable Background Check
Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a childcare or educational setting
Strong understanding of child development and best practices in early childhood education
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, parents and staff
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
CPR and First Aide certification or the willingness to obtain certification within a specified time frame
