Job Summary:

The School District of New London is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and visionary Student Success Coordinator to be a part of the leadership team for a school community aiming for excellence in education. As an educational leader, the ideal candidate will embrace the values of our school while fostering a supporting and engaging environment for students, staff, and parents.

 

The Student Success Coordinator assists in creating and managing school-wide systems that ensure a positive school climate, culture, and academic success for all students. The position will work closely with the principal, assistant principal and counseling department on Academic and Career Planning, college and career readiness initiatives, student attendance, state assessment, AP testing, and student management.



Qualifications:

  • Valid Wisconsin teaching certification

  • Valid or in the process of obtaining an administrative certification

  • Three years of teaching experience

  • Knowledge of leadership in managing the operations of a high school

  • Experience with Academic and Career Planning

  • Experience with scheduling, course sequencing, and post-secondary student

  • conferencing

  • Experience with alternative education programs and offerings

  • Experience with Youth Apprenticeship, DWD, DPI, and CESA 6 Career pathways

  • Ability to be a team player

  • Ability to supervise and evaluate staff members

  • Ability to supervise special events

  • Ability to work effectively with staff, students, and families

  • Ability to grow community partnerships and outreach

  • Effective communication skills with staff, students, parents, and community

  • Effective organizational and management skills

  • Effective leadership skills




Essential Job Duties:

  • Student behavior management 

  • Restorative practices

  • Student Attendance support and accountability

  • Manage the school’s state assessment system and exam delivery coordination

  • Student Mental Health support in coordination with school social worker

  • Parent communication and connection

  • Academic and Career Planning

  • Youth Apprenticeship support and accountability

  • Collaborate with the counseling department

  • Administrative oversight for school offerings and events, 

  • AP Testing

  • Continuous improvement 

  • School-wide systems
