Action Research Community High School (ARCHS) is a new UW-Milwaukee authorized charter school opening Fall 2026 on Milwaukee's South Side. We seek a bilingual Office Manager to serve as the welcoming face of our school, managing front office operations while supporting families and staff in a Gold Standard Project-Based Learning environment.

This founding position offers the opportunity to establish operational systems and family engagement practices that will define ARCHS for years to come. The Office Manager reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with all staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Essential Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for families, visitors, and community members, creating a welcoming and professional environment

• Manage student attendance tracking, reporting, and follow-up communications with families

• Maintain student records in student information system

• Coordinate supply inventory, vendor relationships, and procurement processes

• Support event logistics, facility scheduling, and school communications

• Provide translation and interpretation support for Spanish-speaking families

• Assist with administrative tasks across departments as needed

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred)

• Minimum 2 years of office or administrative experience (school setting preferred)

Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (written and oral)

• Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and database systems

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

• Commitment to serving Milwaukee's South Side community

Preferred

• Experience in charter or startup school environments

• Familiarity with student information systems

• Notary public certification or willingness to obtain
