Job Summary:

The School District of New London is seeking three dynamic and innovative Speech-Language Pathologists to join our collaborative school communities and existing SLP team as we continue moving forward to ensure success for all students. We anticipate three full-time in person vacancies for the beginning of the 2026-27 school year including:

  • Early Childhood (3-5 year olds) and 5K-4th Grade students with more complex communication needs based at Lincoln Elementary School

  • 4K-4th Grade students based at Lincoln Elementary School

  • 4K-4th Grade students based at Readfield Elementary School and Itinerant services primarily for preschoolers in the community in the School District of New London


Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from an accredited institution

  • Valid Wisconsin DPI License as a Speech & Language Pathologist (820/1820)

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA (American Speech-Language Hearing Association) or in the process of obtaining certification (Clinical Fellows will be considered)

  • Commitment to and belief that all learners can be successful



Essential Job Duties:

  • Contribute to creating meaningful learning opportunities and environments where students, staff and others are connected, supported and safe to thrive.

  • Conduct comprehensive, educationally relevant assessments of speech, language, social communication, fluency and voice using multiple data sources and collaboration with other team members.

  • Guide the IEP team in determining if a student has a speech and language impairment, its educational impact and the need for specially–designed instruction or related services, consistent with IDEA.

  • Lead and contribute to IEP development by writing measurable current performance, communication goals, supports, speech and language services and a comprehensive plan that allow the student to achieve outcomes.

  • Complete required documentation, including evaluation reports, daily notes, progress reports, Medicaid billing and other written communication with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and within established timelines.

  • Provide high-quality evidence-based intervention using a range of models to ensure students make meaningful progress in the least restrictive environment.

  • Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals so that adjustments are made to intervention to ensure student success.

  • Support students who use AAC and other assistive technology, including selection, implementation, and staff/family training.

  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families and other service providers to promote universal supports for students with communication disabilities

  • Pursue and engage in continued professional learning necessary in a dynamic field like speech-language pathology.

  • Maintain regular connection with the district-wide speech and language team to ensure consistency and delivery of high quality services resulting in success for all students in the School District of New London.

The School District of New London is located in East Central Wisconsin on the border of Waupaca and Outagamie counties.  It covers 144 square miles in three counties with an approximate population of 18,000 and a tax base of just over one billion dollars. We are well known for our recreation activities including historic Hatten Park and Mosquito Hill, with quick access to the Fox Valley for the Performing Arts Center (PAC), Timber Rattler Stadium and a variety of shopping and entertainment. New London is a district of the perfect size with access to all you need.
