We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team. The successful candidate will assist special education teachers in providing individualized support to students with diverse learning needs. This role involves working closely with students to help them achieve their educational goals while fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in both academic and behavioral areas.
  • Carry out instructional and behavioral programming under the direction of the classroom teacher.
  • Provide one-on-one or small-group assistance to help students achieve learning goals.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
  • Collaborate as part of a team with teachers, staff, and specialists to best support student success.
Position Details:
  • Approximately 28 hours per week (when school is in session).
  • Works directly under the supervision of the classroom teacher and special education staff.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Paid Time Off: 7 PTO days per school year. Pro-rated if hired mid-year. 
  • Paid Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Possess (or willing and able to obtain) a Special Education Aide License.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to work with students.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
