Position Summary

The Wausau School District is seeking two (2) full-time Speech & Language Pathologists to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students across grade levels. The successful candidates will collaborate with IEP teams to support students with communication needs and contribute to a strong culture of professional collaboration.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Wisconsin DPI #1820 (Speech & Language Pathology) certification

  • Experience working with Special Education students

  • Experience writing and implementing IEPs

Preferred:

  • ASHA certification

  • Experience providing services at preschool, elementary, middle, and high school levels

  • Experience conducting educational assessments

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide speech and language services to students with identified communication needs

  • Conduct evaluations and participate in eligibility determination

  • Interpret and communicate evaluation results with staff and families

  • Develop and implement IEP goals and service plans

  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records

  • Monitor and report student progress

  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers

  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development
