Position Details
The School District of New London is seeking a qualified Reading Teacher/Interventionist for a full-time (1.0 FTE) position in New London Elementary Schools beginning with the 2026-27 school year. The ideal candidate will hold or be eligible for a Wisconsin Reading Teacher (316/1316) and/or Reading Specialist (17/5017) teaching license.
Qualifications:

A strong knowledge of instructional resources to aid in student learning.

A natural rapport with students and families.

Experience in using data to drive differentiated, small group instruction.

A background in the design of and use of assessment tools to measure and track student progress.

A strong desire to grow professionally through collaboration and a growth mindset.
Essential Job Duties:
-
Provide Tier 3 reading instruction to individual or small groups
-
Provide Tier 2 reading instruction to small groups
-
Support classroom teachers in providing small group reading instruction

Use data-driven decision-making to determine intervention needs
-
Collect, analyze, and use data in collaborative decision-making regarding what is best for kids

Work with district-wide Title I team in collaborative efforts
