Prescott School District is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Day Shift Lead Custodian to join our High School team. This position plays a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment for students and staff.

Position Summary
The Day Shift Lead Custodian works alongside another building custodian to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the High School. This position focuses on classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas to ensure a high standard of cleanliness throughout the school day.

Essential Responsibilities
- Clean, sanitize, and monitor restrooms. Including but not limited to replenishing toilet tissue, paper towels, and soap as needed
- Sweep or vacuum classrooms and office floors daily in assigned areas.
- Empty all wastebaskets and garbage cans daily in assigned areas.
- Clean corridors and hallways after school and during the school day as conditions require
- Clean, and monitor the cafeteria during and after student lunch.
- Perform snow and ice removal from sidewalks, steps, and other exterior surfaces as needed
- Maintain professionalism and cooperative working relationships with students, and staff, especially the building administration team.
- Meets with evening custodial staff daily to inform them of any issues or events in the building.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, including but not limited to set up and tear down for various events. Moving of equipment, furniture or other items throughout the district.
- Perform minor building maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, and electrical.
- Perform duties on the grounds including, mowing, tree trimming, weed trimming, raking/blowing leaves and other various tasks.
- Leads the annual deep clean of the building over summer months.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid Drivers license
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift, bend, push, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Willingness and ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime and some weekends.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and positive school environment
Previous custodial or facilities experience is preferred but not required.
