Position Summary
Prescott School District is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Art Teacher for grades 6–12 for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will provide engaging instruction in visual arts courses which may include drawing, painting, photography, textiles, and 3D media. The teacher will create a positive learning environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and artistic growth while aligning instruction to Wisconsin Academic Standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum performance expectations include, but are not limited to:

- Plan and deliver standards-based art instruction for middle and high school students
- Develop organized lesson plans and varied instructional strategies
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including students with disabilities
- Teach a range of courses from introductory to advanced levels
- Effectively manage classroom procedures, materials, and equipment
- Monitor and assess student progress using multiple measures
- Maintain accurate records as required by district and state guidelines
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and participate in conferences
- Collaborate with colleagues in a Professional Learning Community
- Participate in curriculum development and professional growth activities
- Perform additional duties as assigned by administration
- Valid Wisconsin DPI teaching license in Art Education (or eligibility for licensure)
- Knowledge of current best practices in art education
- Ability to integrate technology as a tool for learning
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Compensation & Benefits
Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Prescott School District compensation plan and employee handbook.
