Full Time
The Occupational Therapist works directly with students with disabilities, aligning instructional practices with best practices to meet individual student needs. This includes regular data collection and progress monitoring to ensure effective support. The therapist collaborates closely with families and IEP (Individualized Education Plan) team members to develop, write, and implement IEPs that meet compliance expectations and drive student results. Services provided directly match those described in the IEP, and the therapist works with the IEP team to ensure students make appropriate progress while accessing the general education curriculum. The District serves 1,472 students from the City of Lake Mills and the surrounding area in three schools: Lake Mills Elementary School, Middle School, and High School. Lake Mills Area School District is the highest achieving school district in Jefferson County and has strong academic curricular programs at all levels, as well as excellent music, athletic, drama, and extracurricular programs. We are proud to educate our students in some of the top facilities in the country for environmental construction and design. Our elementary school is LEED Platinum certified and was built as a house concept which allows our staff to foster a sense of community and togetherness throughout the school day.
