Teacher Long Term Sub 6th GRADE SCIENCE POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Prescott School District is seeking an energetic and innovative candidate with a science licensure preferably. This Long-term position will be teaching 6th-grade science.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to relate to middle school students, build quality relationships with students, staff, and the community, and welcome the opportunity to be part of a team-oriented high school teaching staff. Additional coaching and advisor positions are also available.

Job Title:          Long Term Sub - 6th Grade Science 

Building: Prescott Middle School

Start Date:  Approximately April 1st with an end date of the end of the school year. 

License Requirement:    1088 or 1601 or 1637 or 1634

QUALIFICATIONS: 

1. The ability to teach 6th Grade Science (Physical Science).

2. A passion for teaching science. 

3. Experience in providing responsive interventions. 

4. Ability to prioritize science standards. 

5. A background in the use of assessments to guide instruction and progress monitor student learning.

6. Strong communication skills with parents, students, administration, and co-workers.

7. The ability to use technology in the classroom.
