Job Position Statement
The School District of Athens is in search of a highly skilled and professional individual to join our team. Job Description: The School District ofAthens seeks candidates for a Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach beginning in the 2026-27 season. This is a part-time position, and not eligible for benefits.
Job Responsibilities

Plan and conduct structured practices and training sessions

Teach fundamental and advanced volleyball skills (serving, passing, setting, hitting, blocking, defense)

Develop game strategies and analyze opponent performance
-
Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback
-
Promote teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship
-
Ensure athlete safety and enforce rules and regulations
-
Organize team travel, equipment, and match logistics
-
Communicate effectively with players, parents (if applicable), and athletic staff

Maintain records of performance, attendance, and progress
Skills and Preferred Qualifications
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent along with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record in order to drive school vehicles.

Volleyball coaching experience is preferred, but other qualifications will be considered.

Candidates must also be certified per WIAA qualifications.

Strong knowledge of volleyball rules and strategies
