Position Summary

The School Psychologist supports the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success of all students through collaborative problem-solving, equitable evaluation practices, and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS). This role partners with educators, families, and community agencies to strengthen student outcomes in a rural school setting.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a District experiencing growth following the successful passage of a $54 million referendum to build a new elementary school which will open in December of 2026, and a new Central Office- reflecting the community’s strong commitment to public education. 

Guided by our mission- Driven by purpose. Guided by integrity. Defined by success. - The School Psychologists will work directly with the Director of Student Services to advance equitable outcomes and inclusive practices for ALL students, in alignment with the District’s Strategic Plan

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct psychoeducational evaluations, Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA), and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) using culturally responsive practices; ensure compliance with IDEA, Wisconsin Statutes, and DPI guidance.

  • Consultation & Collaboration: Serve as a problem-solving partner with teachers, administrators, families, and student services staff; participate in IEP teams, re-evaluations, and manifestation determinations; collaborate with community providers as needed.

  • Intervention & Prevention: Support MTSS frameworks, deliver evidence-based short-term interventions, and contribute to social-emotional learning, positive behavioral supports, and crisis prevention.

  • Data & Decision-Making: Analyze student and system-level data to guide instructional and behavioral decisions; support progress monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely records consistent with DPI and district requirements; uphold confidentiality and professional ethical standards.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s, Ed.S., or Doctoral degree in School Psychology

  • Valid Wisconsin DPI School Psychologist license (#51)

  • Knowledge of Wisconsin special education law, DPI guidance, and IDEA

  • Strong assessment, consultation, and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

  • MTSS, PBIS, and trauma-informed practice experience
