The St. Francis Xavier Catholic School System is looking for a reliable After School Care Program Aide to join our team! Responsibilities:
• Assist students with daily activities related to all aspects of the program.
• Assist Childcare Program Manager in the development of daily schedules to ensure that children have enough physical activity, rest, and playtime.
• Develop play time activities, age appropriate crafts and curriculum for students.
• Assist in proper hygiene, eating, and toileting practices.
• Ensure that all information regarding student, parent, and staff related issues are kept confidential.
• Supervise and monitor the safety of children and others in the program. Report any suspect abuse to supervisor.
• Organize, arrange, and sanitize the room, equipment, and toys on a regular basis.
• Recommend measures to improve methods, performance and quality of product or service, and suggest changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in Early Childhood or equivalent preferred.
• Completing any required pre-employment background screens, trainings and paperwork.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
• Effective communication skills (oral, written and verbal).
• Attendance at all in-service, staff meetings, and Field trips.
• Proficient with basic computer skills.
• Certified, or willing to be certified in First Aid, CPR/AED, Epi-Pen and Blood borne Pathogens.
