Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Director, the Building Systems Coordinator provides building systems services for all school district buildings. This role maintains district building systems to ensure facilities are secure, comfortable, and safe. This position collaborates with Facilities Services staff, Technology staff, administrators, and contractors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Troubleshoot and coordinate with the Building Systems Maintenance Technician.
- Coordinates and schedules small to mid-size projects.
- Oversees the workflow of subcontractors involved in control preventive maintenance and small to mid-size projects.
- Performs key role in the oversight of infrastructural maintenance and building systems.
- Gathers information and participates in the evaluation of vendors and awarding of service contracts.
- Assists with oversight of preventative maintenance programs and recommends new preventative maintenance items.
- Coordinates inspections to insure compliance with codes and safety regulations.
- On-call for building emergencies.
- Interacts with building occupants resolving day to day maintenance problems.
- Assists in the design and implementation of inventory systems for equipment and supplies.
- Manage and troubleshoot telephone and intercommunication systems.
- Manage and troubleshoot security systems and/or safety programs.
- Manage and troubleshoot building automation systems.
- Establish and maintain appropriate system licensing requirements.
- Compiles and assists building preventive maintenance budgets, bill coding, and general building related financial work.
- Assists with coordinating relocation of staff due to maintenance needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED:
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Job-related experience with the ability to increase knowledge of expanding responsibilities.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Punctual, regular attendance.
