The Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist beginning with the 2026-27 school year.
Required: Possession of or eligibility for a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction license #817 as a Physical Therapist; possession of a valid driver’s license; demonstrates interest in working with students in a public school setting. Experience in pediatrics preferred.

Primary Purpose:
A School-Based Physical Therapist is responsible for providing specialized physical therapy services to students with exceptional needs. The physical therapist assesses and diagnoses physical impairments, develops and implements individualized treatment plans, and utilizes therapeutic techniques to improve motor function, mobility, and overall physical well-being. The goal is to help students overcome developmental delays and/or dysfunction, enhance their participation in school activities, and promote their independence. Duties include implementing therapeutic techniques and interventions to improve physical function, promote wellness and fitness, and facilitate participation and access throughout the educational setting. Additionally, the physical therapist will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to student care.
