The School District of West Allis-West Milwaukee is currently seeking an Assistant Principal for Central High School. The goals of the position are to reduce time out of learning due to disciplinary events, increased engagement of students within the school community and increased learning opportunities.

A strong candidate will have a focus on social justice, be able to develop positive productive relationships with students and families and design behavior improvement strategies appropriate for students. Professionally coach and develop teachers.

Model and provide exemplars for teachers of quality behavior management strategies

Collaborate with Principal on initiatives and building goals .

Work with building Principals and building teams to analyze data and develop school planning for moving forward.

Plan and deliver high quality professional development for district staff using knowledge gained by keeping current with research and best practice in restorative practices and successful student behavior management.

Complete walk-through observations to provide staff ongoing meaningful feedback.

Experience with PBIS, Capturing Kids Hearts and restorative practices are preferred.

Candidates must have a Wisconsin Department of Public administrative license.

Bilingual candidates (Spanish) are also preferred and strongly encouraged to apply.
