Description- Bookkeeper/Business Manager
Terms of Contract: 12-month contract, a minimum of 8 hours per day with six (6) weeks of vacation and flexibility of work days and hours during the summer months and outside of the student school year. The selected candidate will be working with a cohesive administrative team in a positive/collaborative environment.
A regionally competitive salary and benefits package will be offered based on education and experience. Salary may vary with verification.

Bookkeeper/Business Manager who is grounded in the principles listed below.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Serve as the Director of Business Services, managing all the financial aspects of the district, ensuring the District meets all federal, state, and local requirements;
· Advise the Superintendent and Board of Education on financial matters of the district;
· Contribute to the development and implementation of the district’s continuous improvement plan;
· Budget preparation, payroll, insurances, AP/AR;
· Supervise RFPs and bids;
· Maintain accurate and timely financial records including but not limited to all state and federal reporting as required by law;
· Oversee, manage, and monitor the district’s contracted services for transportation, MCSE, CESA 9, and CESA 10.
· Attend all board meetings as they relate to the district finances;
· Oversee the accounting of all grants;
· Oversee employee benefits including retirement and health, dental, life and long-term disability insurances;
· Oversee property, liability and workers’ compensation insurances and related reporting;
· Be responsible for internal and external audits;
· All other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
The Director of Business Services works in collaboration with the Superintendent and Board of Education on district-wide planning and is an active member of our administrative team. Our administrative team works and learns together as a professional learning community.
