Position Details
The Iowa-Grant School District is looking for an individual with a passion for increasing academic, emotional, social, and adaptive skills for all students with disabilities. The Special Education Department at Iowa-Grant School District works hard to support all students with disabilities to feel a sense of belonging. We strive to deliver high-quality academic instruction as well as understanding and supporting a student’s social/emotional needs. All candidates with a special education license will be considered.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to:
Work with and support diverse learners.
Understand the social, emotional, mental, and behavioral health needs of students.
Advocate for diverse learners.
Create a welcoming environment that fosters trust and respect.
Work collaboratively in a team approach.
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students.
Effectively design instructional strategies to enhance student growth.
Knowledge of assessments, progress monitoring, IEP writing, special education evaluations, functional behavioral assessments, and behavioral interventions.
