We are seeking applicants for the following position(s):
Grade 2 Classroom Long-Term Substitute Teacher
Verona Area School District
Core Knowledge Elementary School
1.0 FTE Position to begin on or around October 13, 2025, through at least December 10, 2025
Elementary/Regular Educator license required
Well qualified candidates will have additional experience/knowledge including but not limited to:
Proven dedication to equity and culturally relevant pedagogy
Prior experience with or knowledge of PBIS, Responsive Classroom, and Restorative practices.
Familiarity with Teachers College Reading & Writing Units of Study
Familiarity with Bridges and Number Corner
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Instructing students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods
Using data and progress monitoring
Collaborating, co-teaching, and co-planning with colleagues
Adapting teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests
Ability to read, write and speak in Spanish a plus, bilingual (Spanish) skills are prioritized
