A Guest Paraprofessional is a substitute who works on an “as needed” basis when our regular paraprofessionals are out of the school building for any reason, for example: to attend a training, a medical appointment, maternity/paternity leave, etc.

A Guest Paraprofessional assists teachers with classroom instruction, organization, and management. They provide positive and nurturing guidance for students and may help attend to their physical, personal, academic, and/or emotional needs.  All Guest Paraprofessionals will work within a Professional Learning Community and positive work environment, sharing in the collective responsibility to support students. Relationships are at the heart of our schools, with all staff getting to know students and families across the grades. We are looking forward to having our Guest Paraprofessionals bring a love of working with children, a positive attitude, and flexibility in nature to support a variety of needs throughout the school day. In addition to supporting teachers, these individuals may also provide supervision of students during lunch, recess and other needed times of the day.
