What You'll Do:

As an Educational Interpreter, you'll be at the heart of student success. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting instruction for deaf/hard-of-hearing students in diverse classroom settings.

  • Collaborating closely with teachers to plan and implement engaging lessons.

  • Assessing student comprehension and assisting with re-instruction to ensure understanding.

  • Organizing essential program materials for classroom activities.

  • Providing valuable feedback to teachers on student understanding and progress.

  • Attending staff meetings and professional development sessions to continuously grow.

  • Completing necessary record-keeping and reporting.

  • Holds a valid Interpreter License through the Department of Public Instruction (license 0020)

  • Possesses a valid driver's license.

  • Brings strong knowledge and expertise as an interpreter.

  • Excels at interpreting verbal communications for deaf/hard-of-hearing children.

  • Can build effective working relationships with staff, agencies, and the public.

  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong interpersonal communication skills.

  • Is committed to continuous professional improvement.
