About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Office Assistant to support daily administrative operations at the high school. This position plays a key role in ensuring the office runs smoothly and provides a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors while assisting the OHS Administrative Assistant, Principal, and Associate Principal/Athletic Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist students, staff, and the public in a professional and courteous manner

  • Answer and direct phone calls; take and deliver accurate messages

  • Classroom supervision when necessary
  • Maintain student records and attendance data

  • Assist with scheduling, filing, photocopying, and mail distribution

  • Coordinate substitute teacher sign-ins and verify credentials

  • Support staff with administrative tasks such as data entry and document preparation

  • Monitor student traffic in and out of the office; issue passes and track appointments

  • Maintain confidentiality in handling student and personnel information

  • Perform other duties as assigned by school administration

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate Degree preferred.

  • Prior experience in an educational or office setting is desirable

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
