Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:
1. To help students understand their abilities, aptitudes, and interests in light of the opportunities and demands they experience presently or may experience in the future
2. To counsel students with learning, physical, social, and emotional problems through conferences held with students on the basis of teacher, parent, administration, or self-referral
3. To work closely with classroom teachers in planning and implementing group guidance sessions based on the developmental needs of all students
4. To schedule state testing and assist students and staff with the testing
5. To assist students with college applications, scholarship applications, and financial aid applications
6. National Honor Society adviser
7. Supervision of student activities, assemblies, and recess
8. Other duties as assigned
