The Secondary Curriculum & Learning Program Administrator is a district-level leader overseeing 6th grade through 12th grade curriculum and learning in all academic areas except English Language Arts and reading. This includes providing leadership for universal classroom instruction and leading coaching and professional development for teachers, coaches, and interventionists to implement effective instructional practices. The Secondary Curriculum & Learning Program Administrator will provide essential leadership for the district’s entire secondary program by helping create, facilitate, and monitor a long-term process that supports the development, refinement, and implementation of the district’s secondary curriculum. It is the responsibility of the Secondary Curriculum & Learning Program Administrator to work collaboratively with the secondary curriculum & learning coach, math specialist, district administrators, building administrators, curriculum chairs, teachers, and school-level teams to assist all students in developing the critical skills needed for success.

Responsibilities:
● Supervise and evaluate the secondary curriculum & learning coach
● Lead the middle school math specialist and co-evaluate them with the middle school principal
● Work closely with curriculum chairs and coaches to facilitate development, monitoring, and evaluation of curriculum for secondary academic content areas, except for English Language Arts and reading
● Coordinate 6-12 disciplinary literacy initiative in collaboration with the K-12 Literacy Program Administrator
● Facilitate development of comprehensive professional development at the secondary level
● Work with principals and district leaders to achieve the effective implementation of the secondary curriculum and multi-level systems of support
● Support the work of coaches, specialists, and classroom teachers to provide support for all learners in the classroom during universal instruction
● Oversee the secondary math intervention program
● Utilize a process of continuous improvement in goal setting and analysis of data to inform and impact instruction.
● Monitor district-wide secondary achievement, practice and intervention data and make recommendations for programming adjustments as needed
● Facilitate professional learning for coaches and interventionists
● Facilitate curriculum chair meetings and oversee the leadership development of curriculum chairs
● Collaborate with the elementary program administrator to ensure vertical alignment of curriculum
● Work closely with the Director of Curriculum, Learning & Analytics and fulfill additional duties as assigned
Qualifications (Experience, Education, Certificates, Licenses, and Training):
Required:
- Wisconsin administrator license as a director of instruction or principal
- Minimum of 3 years of classroom experience
Preferred:
- Experience coaching teachers
- Experience with instructional improvement processes and/or curriculum development
- Experience designing and facilitating professional development
