Position Title: IEP Administrative Assistant III- Division of Pupil & Family Supports
Department/Location: Division of Pupil & Family Supports - Fisher Building
Job Classification: Select (Non-Exempt) - Administrative Assistant
Reports to: Director of Special Education
Supervises: N.A.

Anticipated Start Date: May 12, 2025
Anticipated Hours: 40 hours per week, Daily 7AM - 4PM
Anticipated Rate of Pay: $28.73 plus comprehensive benefits package

The Wauwatosa School District (WSD) is seeking candidates interested in serving as a Administrative Assistant for the Division of Pupil and Family Supports.

The Administrative Assistant to the Division of Pupil and Family Supports assists in a variety of complex, confidential, and detailed tasks.
 
Essential Job Functions:
Prepares and edits documents, files, and maintains office correspondence and records
Maintains high level of confidentiality in performing duties
Arranges meeting times and space; coordinates complex scheduling tasks
Keeps division calendar and organizes office
Maintains various school-based information and data
Works with limited supervision and makes work priority decisions in accordance with established policies, practices and regulations
Process new students with disabilities for enrollments, withdrawals, and annual registrations.
Process name and guardianship updates/changes
Performs tasks related to address changes, school changes, and enrollment event communications
Work with private schools to maintain student information.
Monitor home school enrollments for resident and non-resident students
Support early entrance processes
Support McKinney/Vento requirements
Supports transportation needs for all students
Tracks Division-specific data and information
Performs data gathering tasks and composes correspondence in accordance with standard policy
Maintains and files confidential information
Collects and monitors Data for DPI monitoring
Support the Medicaid reimbursement process
Support building level staff with access to processes and procedures.
Serves as role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, intelligent human beings
Complies with the following requirement: The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District
Performs other duties as assigned
