Whitewater High School seeks a dedicated School Counselor for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond to work as a part of the student services team to coordinate the efforts of all curriculum areas to enhance student academic learning, personal/social development,  and career/vocational awareness.

Applicants must be committed to continuous improvement and skilled at fostering mutually respectful relationships with students, parents, colleagues and community members.  The ideal candidate for this position must be willing to provide balanced services under the ASCA model, be familiar with student advisory programming, college/career planning and will be skilled collaborators and join a school community committed to the PLC process and living our mission for all students.
Whitewater High School has approximately 600 students and offerings similar to schools of a much larger size. We take great pride in being a Triple- A school by giving our students the opportunity to explore academic, athletic, and art offerings in a smaller and much more personalized setting than a high school of 1000+ students. In addition, our vast curriculum allows students to prepare themselves for post-secondary education or the world of work by learning and using 21st century skills.

The Whitewater Unified School District has elements of rural and suburban communities.  The City of Whitewater has a population of approximately 14,500. Whitewater is located in southern Wisconsin, approximately 45 miles west of Milwaukee, 45 miles east of Madison, and 100 miles northwest of Chicago. The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, with an enrollment of over 10,500 students, offers residents a variety of cultural and educational opportunities.  Whitewater is a vibrant, diverse community with a growing population of multilingual families.
