Teach Driver's Education in the classroom and/or behind the wheel to high school students. Multiple locations in the CESA 2 region may be required. An asset to the position is the flexibility the teacher has in scheduling the BTW lessons and working independently.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Education or have a valid WI DPI teaching license or guidance counselor license. Certification in Drivers Education preferred however an alternate path to DPI DE teacher licensing is available. If the candidate does not have a WI DPI DE teaching license, then an emergency license can be applied for once hired and the candidate can enroll in our DE teacher licensing program at no cost. CESA 2's CLASS program is a DPI approved teacher licensing program. 

Skills required: Ability to work independently. Strong oral and written communication skills.

 

Classroom wage is $1,033.21 plus $10 per enrollment for classes larger than 25 students. The classroom course consists of 17 two hour sessions. The wage for Behind the Wheel sessions is $160.62 per completion of a student ($26.77 per hour). CESA 2 will contribute to Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) if the employee meets WRS eligibility criteria.
