The Unified School District of Antigo is seeking applications for High School Family and Consumer Education teacher for the 2024-2025 school year, full time.
 
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Family and Consumer Education teacher to join our High School faculty.  The ideal candidate will be knowledgable in various aspects of Family and Consumer Sciences, including nutrition, culinary arts, personal finance, child development, and interpersonal relationships.  The role involves designing and delivering engaging lessons that equip students with essential life skills, promoting healthy lifestyles, responsible decision-making, and effective communication within families and communities.  The Family and Consumer Education teacher will foster a supportive learning environment, provide individualized instruction, and collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary concepts.  This position offers an exciting opportunity to empower students to become informed and responsible citizens in their personal and professional lives.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences, or related field.
  • Valid Wisconsin teaching license or certification in Family and Consumer Education (or eligibility for licensure/certification).
  • Strong knowledge of Family and Consumer Sciences content areas, including nutrition, culinary arts, personal finance, child development, and interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Enthusiasm for teaching and a committment to student success and well-being.
  • Collborative mindset and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for promoting lifelong learning and personal development.
