REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1.     High School diploma, or equivalent, required.

2.     Minimum of three year’s experience in a clerical role, preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

JOB GOALS

  • Responsibilities indicated in the Secretary II job description.
    • Receive and route incoming calls and postal mail
    • Greet and assist visitors and staff in need of information
    • Collect fees and make deposits
  • Serve as the Finance Secretary to the Buildings & Grounds Department.
  • Serve as the Finance Secretary to the Technology Department.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and maintaining records of the budget and corresponding purchases throughout the year
  • Work cooperatively with the Buildings & Grounds Supervisor, or designee, to manage the District building access (key) inventory.
  • Work cooperatively with the Payroll & Benefits Department to assist in the employee onboarding process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & DISPOSITIONS

  • Ability to define and solve problems; collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. 
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality within and outside the school and work collegially with all staff members. 
  • Ability to adapt to and to use appropriate technology to process, store, and communicate data in a usable form through the creation of charts, graphs, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, be flexible, and prioritize tasks in an organized and timely manner
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, while creating a positive and welcoming environment to all staff and visitors.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in an unsupervised environment.

REPORT TO

Director of Business Services. Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Employee Handbook. 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Regular wage and benefits package for the Secretary II position.

12 month position, 8 hours per day, Monday-Friday.
