GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Business Services Associate performs accounting, human resources, and benefits management support necessary to accomplish objectives established by the Director of Business Services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintains free and reduced meal records and complete necessary certifications and verifications
Conducts online payment refunds, waiving fees, taking payments.
Reconciles cash receipts in the accounting system to those recorded by the bank
Posts cash receipts in the accounting system to proper accounts
Reconciles bank and investment accounts
Serves as backup for accounts payable
Stays up-to-date by participating in financial software and school accounting training
Maintains and ensures accurate accounting records among building and district staff
Processes purchase orders
Uploads, processes, and posts credit card transactions
Reconciles monthly credit card statements
Creates new vendors in Skyward
Serves as a backup to Medicaid billing
Serves as a backup to payroll
Organizes and maintains an efficient office and communication among all stakeholders
Manages hiring and onboarding software and processes
Ensures up-to-date and accurate benefits management and assignment
Maintains confidentiality
Promotes a positive image of the District at all times
Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma required, Associate’s Degree or beyond preferred
Three years experience desired
Experience with Skyward SFS desired
Strong organizational, computer, and communication skills
Strong accounting skills
Knowledge of common professional software, such as Microsoft Word and Excel and Google Docs and Sheets, is required
Ability to assume responsibility, display initiative and exercise good judgment
Ability to multitask efficiently
